HASEGAWA KIT JS-066, BOEING F4B-4, 1/32

I bought this kit at the time of its release in the US. It is as new with all the grey parts, decals and transparency still in the original sealed plastic bag. The decals and instructions are excellent. The box is excellent with a slight indent in the box-top and box-bottom--so slight, it does not show in the box-top scan. This is a very accurate and detailed kit and builds up into a fine replica. SOLD!

HELLER Kit No. 393, BLOCH 174, 1/72

And, I bought this kit in the '70s at the time of its release in the US. It is in excellent condition with all the olive-green parts, decals, transparencies and instructions. All 50 parts are on their sprue and are in their original sealed plastic-bag. The instruction sheet has an assembly diagram, parts-list and three-view. The box-top is in excellent condition, the bottom is very good. This was an advanced kit for its time and except for lack of interior detail is an excellent kit today. This is the first issue with crisp moldings--there is a great difference in the quality of the moldings, the earlier are more crisp. US$!2.00

DOUGLAS SKYRAIDER, B.R. Jackson

Published by Aero Publishers in 1969, this is the First US Soft Cover Edition. An early but thorough history of this aircraft, it is 7" X 10" with 144 pp and contains over 160 very clear black & white photos, 5 pages of line-drawings and 8 pages of color side views, beautifully done by T. Maruyama or H. Yamauchi. This is a well illustrated, quite good summary of aircraft-information, including development and use. My copy is in very good condition with some slight rubbing on the covers. US$14.00.

HAWK Model No. 562-100, GRUMMAN F8F-2 "BEARCAT"

Issued in 1967, this is FIRST "1/48" plastic kit of the Grumman F8F-2 "Bearcat" and was the only model of this aircraft in this scale for years. This is an accurate model of the F8F--Hawk worked with IPMS USA in its production. This was as good a kit as anyone produced at the time, including Monogram. All parts are present in excellent condition and are on their sprues--they are molded in a dark-blue plastic. Though the fuselage panel lines are inscribed the wings and tailplane lines are raised. Ordinance is included. The instruction sheet and decals are also in excellent condition as is the box. The instruction sheet includes history, assembly and painting information. The kit is as new. US$12.00
